Visit of St. Therese to St Mary’s Cathedral9th to 11th September 2019

Saturday 7th & Sunday 8th September
Pre-visit homilies at all Cathedral Masses by Fr. John Udris except the 6pm Mass.
Talk on Saturday afternoon at 2pm in the Cathedral Hall. Refreshments available afterwards.

Monday 9th September
19:00 Arrival of Relics to St. Mary’s Cathedral by Bishop Hugh
Relics processed into the Cathedral to the Litany of St Therese and then incensed.
Opening Mass: Main Celebrant: Bishop Hugh Music: Cathedral Choir
20:30 Veneration of Relics with Confessions accompanied by music from the Cathedral Choir
21:30 Blessed Sacrament is exposed on the main altar
All-night Prayer Vigil begins with prayers and litanies each hour

Tuesday 10th September07:00 Mass (Fr. Emmet)
10:30 Mass with Primary Schools Main Celebrant: Bishop Hugh
Con-celebrants: Primary School Chaplains & Others Music: John Horton/Children
11:30 – 18:30 Veneration of Relics
17.00 Confessions
18:00 Mass: Main Celebrant: Fr. Keith Music: Diocesan Choir
19:00 Veneration of Relics begins with the litany of St Therese followed by music (& confessions) and leads to an all-night prayer vigil.

Wednesday 11th September
07:00 Mass Main Celebrant: Fr. Emmet
08:30 Relics depart for Inverness. Led by Fr Keith and carried in procession by the Knights of St Columba.
