25th March UPDATE! Masses and other advice

Dear All

25th March Update!! TODAY IS THE SOLEMNITY OF THE ANNUNCIATION. In order to give opportunity to those who work to take part in the LIVE STREAMED MASS, today’s Private Mass will be LIVE STREAMED at 6.30pm from St. Peter’s, Aberdeen!

As you know from the news and my previous email and Facebook page there will be no public Masses UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE. ALL CHURCH ACTIVITIES THAT ARE ACCESSIBLE TO THE PUBLIC WILL HAVE TO BE CANCELLED (EXCEPT FUNERALS WITH CLOSE FAMILY MEMBERS ONLY)!

TEMPORARY ORDER OF LITURGICAL CELEBRATIONS
Monday evening Stations of the Cross at 6pm, followed by PRIVATE Mass at 6.30pm, AT ST. PETER’S

Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday/ Friday Stations of the Cross at 12noon, followed by PRIVATE Mass at 12.30pm AT ST. PETER’S

Saturday: no Stations of the Cross and no Mass

Sunday PRIVATE Masses are at 9.30am in Sacred Heart and at 11.30am in St. Peter’s (no Stations of the Cross on Sunday)

ALL MASSES & SERVICES WILL BE LIVE STREAMED!!

Care for the vulnerable members of our parish: I encourage you to continue to look out for the elderly and vulnerable whom you know who may need ESSENTIAL help with shopping or picking up medicine form the pharmacy or other ways. Please continue to do so.

25th March Update!! I will try to broadcast via live streaming on SACRED HEART’s website  the SUNDAY PRIVATE MASS at 9.30am on Sunday morning AND 11.30am at St. Peter’s website. Please note that only an altar server is allowed to be there for the PRIVATE MASS, so SADLY the doors will have to be CLOSED. This way I hope we as a parish family will remain connected through our local Masses rather than watching Masses from another part of the world. Remember we are not only meant to be a global church gathering, but also a local church family, as a body of Christ, in which all parts sense what’s happening with the other parts (cf. 1 Cor 12:25-26, see here).

– Another suggested way of staying connected as a parish family: I can create a WhatsApp group where you can post:only your prayer requests, and a praying hands as a sign of indicating that you are praying for these prayer requests and for fellow parishioners. If you want to be in this group, please send me your mobile number and download the WhatsApp app to your smartphone.
UPDATES ON PROGRESS WILL BE REGULARLY POSTED TO YOU VIA PARISH WEBSITE, EMAIL, FACEBOOK, WhatsApp.

Since we need to keep the church running (paying bills, administrative costs, supplies, my food  ,etc.) I will appreciate if you make a visit to the church at confession times and leave your Sunday donation in a basket prepared on the altar rail. Alternatively I kindly suggest you put your donation through the letter box at 3 Chapel Court (right beside the church), or make a bank transfer (See bank details below). Much appreciated!

Many blessings:
Fr. Gabor
